Multishow TV broadcast - Cable TV - VideoReDo

After receiving a lot of criticism on the social networks due to the disastrous transmission of the Paul McCarney's show, the channel Multishow published a public positioning. According to the text, "as required by the artist, Multishow had to honor a 'delay' of 50 minutes, starting the transmission at 22h35". Initially, through a post on the official website, the channel reported that this "delay" would be 20 minutes and that the transmission would last an hour and a half.

Also according to the text, "Paul's crew was responsible for appointing the songs that could be broadcast by the channel," which explains the cuts in the order in which the songs were presented, a procedure that was not disclosed to the public in advance . "Unexpectedly they told us that we should end the transmission, with no room for negotiation," says in another passage, explaining why the transfer was finished in the middle of one of the songs. "We are sorry for the incident and we apologize to subscribers of the channel," the statement concluded.

Read below the full text published by Multishow:

"Multishow broadcasted with exclusiveness the Paul McCartney show in Sao Paulo on the evening of Tuesday, November 25. It was agreed with Paul's production team that Multishow would be entitled to transmit only part of the show, a shorter period than the total duration of the show, which was reported to the public before and during the exhibition.

The show was scheduled to start at 21h, but Paul McCartney took the stage at 21:45. As required by the artist, Multishow had to honor a 'delay' of 50 minutes, starting the transmission at 22h35.

Paul's crew was responsible for appointing the songs that could be transmitted through the channel and by the sound equalization. Unexpectedly they told us that we should end the transmission, with no room for negotiation.

We are sorry for what happened and we apologize to the subscribers of the channel.

Multishow always seeks to bring great shows to our subscribers with high-quality capture. The channel has been consolidating for 21 years in the transmission of large festivals such as Lollapalooza and Rock in Rio, and also in the transmission of shows of international artists and bands such as Elton John, Stevie Wonder, the Rolling Stones, among others. In 2014 Multishow has already transmitted 52 events and had more than 243 hours of broadcasting of live performances.".
